Alaska – An Epic Vacation to Remember

When you talk about places with abundant natural resources that can be turned into a sumptuous meal, Alaska is king. Since you have vacation plans in Alaska, we have helped put together the best dishes you have to try during your vacation.

Wild Alaska King Crab Legs

King crab is the most valued species of crab in the world right now. The flavor and texture of the legs of the Alaskan king crab are softer and much more delicate when you see it, compared to other species of crab. This species has a unique taste which is sweet, unlike the crab meat that originates from the East coast.

Caribou Chili

This is indeed a comfort food for Alaskans; it will totally make you feel like one with the land. It is an organic meat from the wild to the table, and it is rich with so much nutrient and taste.

Wild Alaska Seafood Etoufee

Prawns, clams, jumbo sea scallops, cheese grits, and braised greens. You are salivating already, aren’t you? Yeah, we know that feel.

BBQ Wild Alaska Halibut

Regardless of who you are or where you are located, you know BBQ is so good. But imagine when you have a mixed traditional favorite with a sweet, palatable, delicious and delicate wild Alaskan seafood. That is totally mind-blowing! The moment you give BBQ halibut a try, you’ll be hooked…for life.

Reindeer Burger

You don’t have to worry; you’ll be forgiven by Santa for eating Rudolph, it is even totally better with burgers.

Moose Steak

An alternative to conventional meats like pork, beef, chicken (which are readily available in markets) is the wild game. Moose meat is a lean source of protein due to the fact that it has less than 1g of total fat per 100g serving. It has its own unique taste and also tastes great in stew.

Halibut Tacos

This is a mainstream staple food in Alaska. If it’s done the right way, the delicious and tender seafood is a perfect match with traditional Mexican taco toppings.

Copper River Salmon

These are some of the most prized salmon in the world. Copper River Salmon’s omega three oil is higher than average, which allows for a tastier and healthier salmon.

Alaska is filled with organic and wild food sources that will always leave your taste buds wanting more.

Australia is Beautiful!!

It seems like someone is planning a vacation in Australia soon and wants to have some basic vacationing idea about the amazing country. Well, you have come to the right place.

Australia is the 6th biggest country in the world, and if we are being honest, you may have to spend more than the scheduled time you previously planned for a vacation here.

So, we are more than ready to help you plan your short stay in Australia, so it’s going to be an amazing one for you. If you have just about 2/3 weeks up your sleeves, you have to make sure you have a scale of preference for the things you have to see in Australia.

Whenever you are considering going on a trip anywhere, you have to ask yourself some specific questions like- “do I prefer an adventure travel or food and wine, cities or country areas, sporting areas or historical sites?” etc., when you finally have answers to  these questions, then you are right on track to give yourself one of the best.

If you are planning to go on a visitation for food and wine, there are a-class wine regions in Australia like the Barossa Valley in South Australia, Margaret River in the west, the Hunter Valley and Mudgee in the North-South-West. You can also stop by a pub to try the boutique beers, here is where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the locals.

There is awesome seafood to try, kangaroo steak, etc. If you wish, you can visit many of the farmer’s markets to have a taste of their organic fruits and veggies, chocolates, cheeses, etc.

There is no way you can mention island nations without Australia topping the list. Due to this, people make Australia their go-to place for a coastal vacation. This country is just the ideal beach destination, starting from the awing coastline of white sandy beaches to the varieties of water activities. You can go to the Cable Beach at Broome, Gold Coast or Byron Bay, Great Barrier Reef, Bondi Beach, Fraser Island, Whale Watch to mention a few. What should I do while traveling in England

London is a beautiful place to see and visit. Here are a few must see vacation spots in London.

Big Ben

When you think of London,  you automatically think of Big Ben.  This has to be the world’s most iconic clock tower.  Located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster, is in one of the world’s most famous tourist attractions. Definitely go on the hour to hear the chimes.  It is busy with tourists trying to take picture of it so the bridge can be crowded. Even busy it is definitely worth seeing and taking in the architecture surrounding it. Big Ben will  unfortunately go silent soon till 2021 due to renovations. But you need to see this iconic clock that most of us grew up seeing in our childhood books.

Buckingham Palace

You have to stop at Buckingham Palace, right? Your trip would not be complete without seeing the working headquarters of the Monarchy.  The Changing of the Guards is a colourful spectacle of British pageantry. The ceremony last about 45 minutes but what a sight to see. You need to visit the State Rooms using the headphones and mini tablet so you can stroll through at your own pace and listen to the history of the palace in your language.  Also, the gardens are magnificent to see. Pictures are not allowed inside so you really have to see it for yourself. They do offer guided tours so if you are limited on time this option might be more beneficial for you. Help you plan your day.

Westminster Abbey

You can’t leave London without seeing Westminster Abbey.

This 700 year old building has over one million visitors a year.

The Abbey is the place where the royals hold coronations, funerals and other religious ceremonies.  Princess Diana’s funeral was held here. The Abbey is rich with history, paintings, stained glass, other artifacts. You can join in for worship daily and guided tours are offered.  You need to visit the Abbey to truly appreciate the stunning architecture and get a postcard worthy picture.

Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace is the former home to Queen Victoria and Princess Diana.  This beautiful palace has exhibits throughout. Currently the Princess Diana:Fashion Story is being displayed.  Come and see some of her elegant dresses and outfits. Diana, Princess of Wales was considered a fashion icon of her time. Make sure to take a stroll through the well manicured gardens that Princess Diana loved to visit.  She raised Prince William and Harry at Kensington Palace. Prince William and his family now reside here.

It is just a special place to visit knowing Princess Diana lived there.  You can’t help but love the “Princess for the People” as she was known.

The London Bridge

The London Bridge has beautiful views and is a great place to take pictures. The view at night is stunning with the city illuminated.

Definitely worth taking the time to stroll across it and enjoy the view. Also in a trendy part of town and the food is great. Close to the Tower of London so you can visit to attractions at once.

I recommend you travel with friends or family.  There are certainly millions of people and plenty of chances to get lost.  We traveled with our colleagues at work to celebrate 5 years since we started our Gilbert Painting company in Arizona.

Have a nice day.  Go see London!
